Heartstrings and Angel Wings was formed in honor of Heath Logan - a Breaux
Bridge area premature baby related to some of our members - born 16 weeks too
soon. Micro preemie baby clothing is not readily available, and often hard to
find, so our goal is to provide clothing for all babies in order to relieve a
little of the stresses felt by parents with babies in Neonatal ICU and provide
comfort to the baby. Our service provides comfort for families because they can
view their loved one in everyday clothing and sparing them the stresses of
finding clothing this small. The premature babies we provide clothing for range
from 1 pound or less to 5 pounds in weight. Most babies stay for weeks or months
in Neonatal ICU. The items we provide families with are shirts, gowns, hats,
blankets, incubator covers, etc.
Our Mission Heartstrings and Angel Wings is a non-profit, Christian charity organization
which provides clothing and other handmade items for premature babies in
Acadiana area hospital's NICUs for both spiritual and physical comfort to
families and babies during a time clouded with much uncertainty. Heartstrings
and Angel Wings also provide Acadiana area hospitals with items used to comfort
premature babies during their extended stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
